After reviewing feedback from the 2018 conference, attendees indicated that they would like to see more sessions on the following topics: sexual health, sexual assault prevention, evidence-based strategies for prevention, marijuana, and health and wellness for subpopulations (e.g. students of color, LGBTQ+ students, etc.).
Meeting of the Minds: Networking for Success in Prevention is a regional conference dedicated to assisting students and professionals network and learn more about effective prevention strategies and student health issues. Students and professionals working in peer education, prevention, student affairs, or law enforcement from colleges and universities in the five-state area are encouraged to present about their work at this exciting conference!
Please consider sharing a best practice, educational program, or current research in a conference presentation.

Programs are encouraged in all areas related to peer education, alcohol, other drug, and violence prevention, higher education, problem gambling, and suicide and mental health. Student peer educators, advisors, health educators, faculty, staff, law enforcement, coalition members, and others are encouraged to apply!
Our 2018 Meeting of the Minds conference featured several poster sessions displaying research from campuses across the state. Topics included help-seeking behaviors among minority students, effectiveness of Green Dot programs on college health behavior, and a focus group study on sexual health and sexual assault prevention. We would like to invite you to submit a poster on research, or on a program or event from your campus. To submit a proposal for a poster session we ask that you have a title and abstract and that your display fit on an 8'x4' tack board.
